I Saw Him Standing There

Some news. I am kind of obsessed with The Beatles right now. I don't know how it started up but all the sudden I can't get enough of them; every song is so awesome. I had never really looked at The Beatles before, and when I did I found out how adorable they are! Specifically Paul McCartney and George Harrison.

You may think, "Wow, Hailey is such a loser, she is just now starting to really get into the Beatles?" To that, I would say to you my friend: I was not alive in the 60's, nor anytime even close to that. I grew up listening to The Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, Avril Lagvine and all the other mainstream music that was far different from The Beatles. I was born in 1991; John Lennon had already gone to heaven and George Harrison would join him 10 years later. Bless their beautiful souls. But anyways, I'm just saying. Get off my back, I'm excited about this.

p.s. Why did John Lennon EVER think that this look:

would be better than this look?:

..beats me. C'mon JL.

And for your enjoyment... This is one of my favorite songs.

The Social Network

I saw this movie last night and it was actually pretty good. And it very well should have been because it won like four Global Awards over Inception! I'm still bitter that Inception didn't win any awards, it's such an amazing movie.

Anyways, I thoroughly enjoyed The Social Network, not because it was a really cool move with hilarious lines or sweet action scenes, but because it was about facebook. It was really interesting to learn how facebook got started, and who started it. All the actors and actresses did a really good job and the music in it was actually pretty good. So maybe it did deserve the award for best score. Maybe. I especially liked this man named Andrew Garfield..

So adorable, I know. He plays Eduardo Saverin in the movie.

After seeing this movie, I feel a little more connected to facebook now that I know the back story. In the movie, Mark Zuckerberg is super sarcastic and has really dry humor, but it's pretty funny. I don't know if that's how he is/was in real life, but I really want to meet him. He seems kind of awesome. He hasn't made an official comment on the movie, but if he's anything like his character in the movie, I'm sure he could really care less about it. Go Mark. Who cares what happened really, we should all be thanking him because he created the site that we all go on everyday. Justin Timberlake also did a really good job on his part; his character was an a-hole and he was very believable. I think Justin should just switch from singing to acting. Who else agrees?

So anyways, you should all see this movie. If not, you won't be really missing out on anything, it's just cool to know the story. I wouldn't buy the movie, unless it was in the $5 section of course, but, I'd watch it again.

I need...

a freaking job. Seriously guys, if you know of ANYTHING during the day, puh-lease let me know.

But something worth reporting is that I have yet another TV show that I love. Community. Joel McHale. Supa fine.

For your enjoyment, I have provided you with two funny clips of the Halloween episode. Please enjoy. Abed (Batman) is probably my favorite character.

Guess what I did today?

Made an old man smile at my Dermatology appointment. Well, not in the actual appointment, but as I was walking out of the building. Don't be sick, why would a man be in the room with me? Anyways, as I was walking out I smiled at him and he said, "Thank you for that nice smile young lady." So I smiled even bigger because it just made me happy. "Oh now THAT'S a smile!" You're welcome man who works at the front counter of Kaiser in Rancho Cordova. Couldn't we all use a smile?

I thought this was pretty close to being appropriate.

Can I just say that

1) I love Parks and Recreation. I have Ellen to thank for that. She's ma girl when it comes to finding new, good TV shows. I know that whatever show Ellen introduces to me, it will definitely be a good one, full of witty lines and hot men. She would never show me anything super lame like... Pretty Little Liars for example. Just sayin. And, I secretly have a crush on Aziz Ansari... although it is now not a secret anymore. I find him strangle attractive. What is with me and ethnic men?

2) I love America. Who loves America as much as I do? It is a land full of flowing honey and milk. What? Let's all stand up and say the Pledge of Allegiance (if I can remember it, curse that one guy who freaked out about his daughter saying the word "God" in school. I haven't been able to start my day off with the Pledge of Allegiance since I was in 7th grade.)

3) I baked a delicious chocolate fudge cake tonight. My dear Mother bought me a chocolate recipe book for Christmas and it's got some pretty wonderful things in it. The cake may or may not have turned out looking like a pan of poop, but it was very tasty, especially with some homemade whipped cream. Made by... my mother. But I watched. And learned. Anyways, I'd say I'm on my way to becoming an excellent baker.

and 4) Life is pretty good. It would be even better if all of my sisters lived next to me and we could have a party everyday... but you know, we can't have everything. Now, please enjoy this random clip from me. I enjoy screaming this line every now and then (every day), and I think I've got it down. What do you say Lexy?
